I spent some time trying to find today’s decisions (and there are two notable ones for the criminal people out there). Since it took me a while, I thought I’d do a public service and link to them here.
US v. Comstock The Court upholds the law passed by Congress allowing commitment of a mentally ill federal prisoner who is a sex offender beyond the date the inmate otherwise would be released.
Graham v. Florida The Court rules that it is unconstitutional to sentence a juvenile offender to life in prison without parole when the crime does not involve murder.
You should check out Scotusblog for its live blog on the updates and opinions.

thanks for the links. i heard about graham today. i hope it's as promising as it sounds and that it starts a trend of more sensible sentencing for juveniles. would love to hear your thoughts on it once you read up.
