Today I went to two courts (so far, I’ve got another one to go to tonight). First, I went to a local city court where the judge has been suspended from the bench. He recently appealed this ruling to the high court of New York, and the decision is pending. Anyway, since he has been absent, there have been a number of other judges on rotation in that court. Most of them know nothing about anything and they are very slow and annoying and make stupid rulings and really make you wish for the days of Judge Bauer. But, regardless, it only took an hour and then it was over. Then I went to Catskill Town Court to handle a ticket for my brother-in-law. I made some speech about no points pretty please and that lucky bastard got his third THIRD! no point violation.
Then I came back to work and engaged in a flurry of activity for about 40 minutes. I made lists and phone calls and feel pretty good about the state of affairs so far. I’m really keen on making sure no one gets stuck holding any smelly socks once I leave here. I know it would piss me off. But, well, I’ll do my best, right.
Anything interesting happening with anyone else?
who the hell is your brother in law?
yas

Wow, I just read the first few cases in that piece about the suspended judge. Unbelievable. And I thought our judges were bad.
