I’m waiting for copies of the practice tests (previous tests) to print out so I can start doing the, freaking out, etc. I’m a bit pissed that the BarBri course that I paid a million dollars for doesn’t come with practice tests. Yes, I can dowload them from the MD Bar Examiners website, but then I have to exert an enormous amount of willpower to keep from looking at the answers before I’m done with the questions (because they are on the same page). I’m also pissed because the tapes are not helpful at all. They just spew out the information that is in the books (that you get to take in with you anyway). The guy on the first tape talks about how we are going to learn to get really good with the ‘hand eye’ coordination so we’ll know where to go in the books when we need to, and then spends the rest of the tapes going over the actual information on them, with no assistance in helping us remember where it is! It is turning out to be a complete waste of money and I can’t even watch them anymore because it feels like a waste of time. The best thing to do is just read the books (the actual statutes), tab them carefully, and do practice tests. The tests will help you remember stuff, like the fact that a defamation suit abates on the death of an individual. I had no idea! That is some good learnin I got going on here now.

So, my point is that unless you are feeling like you really don’t know anything, don’t spend the money on the barbri out of state attorney exam materials. They are a complete waste.

Okay, printing is done. Time to get to work!
