We went up north yesterday to meet with the DA on this child sex case wherein our client is charged with doing all sorts of nasty stuff to two of his own kids and also to his ex-girlfriend’s kid. He is actually charged with incest. This is not a charge you see all that often, but apparently its very common in the north country where the nights are long and cold, and the entire family needs to hop into bed naked to keep warm (or something like that).

Anyway, we are in the back with the judge and the various and sundry court personnel for this conference with the DA and we are talking about the players involved in this mess. Two of the women who are involved in this matter are sisters and they have these made up names that rhyme, like Lotranza and Fotranza. Lotranza and Fotranza both have had intimate relations with our client. In fact, the incest charge stems from the alleged intimate relations our client had with children he sired with Lotranza. The other kid is Fotranza’s daughter from some other relationship. So, we’re talking to the DA and the judge about how difficult it is to keep everything straight what with the rhyming names and stuff and the DA says: “Well, he’s slept with Lotranza and Fotranza he’s slept with his kids, both his son and his daughter, and he’s slept with Fotranza’s daughter too. Seems your client is just an equal opportunity fucker.” He says this in front of the judge and the various and sundry court personnel and they all start to giggle.

Is this a bad sign?
