I’ve had a nice hiatus from blogging. I’ve bitched about my lack of anonymity for long enough and now its just time to come to grips with the fact that I need to be cautious about what I write. It’s a shame, though, since that means I won’t be writing about most of the juicy stuff. Instead, my blogging friends (if you four are still out there!) will have to read the dry, boring, edited version of life in the Free State.

Here’s a rundown of what’s been happening over the past few months:

Still not pregnant and am about to undergo my first IVF
People who started trying to get pregnant well after me are now pregnant or have already given birth
Work is going incredibly well and we are having a blast
I won my first E-Bay auction
Martin O’Malley (the Mayor of Baltimore) is now Governor O’Malley
I bought decorative pillows for the bedroom. Trust me, this is news.
I test drove a Nissan Pathfinder and a Honda Pilot (whoohooo! I know, you all are jealous. simmer down)
I offered to throw a baby shower
I went to a baby shower that DID NOT TOTALLY SUCK
I have a friend who had a baby born with half a heart. Said baby is doing just fine and her half a heart is stronger than most people’s full hearts.
I got in touch with another friend with whom I had a falling out years and years ago. While it is nice to not be on the outs anymore, I don’t think we’ll be hanging out anytime soon. Turns out we are just really different people.
I can cook French food, including canard lorange.
I now own 62 pairs of shoes.
I ordered custom made suits so I never have to worry about going up a dress size again.
We are not going to visit family for Thanksgiving and we aren’t going upstate for Christmas. We’ve decided that we need to start building our own traditions. Also, its just too damned far and too damned cold!
Partner 1 was dating a model. He is the only man in the world who can date a model and then say he doesn’t like her because she has a ‘jacked up shape’.

I think that brings you all sufficiently up to speed on what’s been going on in and around my world. I am hoping not to let this blog go and will, hopefully, have new and interesting things to blog about in the near future.

But don’t hold your breath.
